Industrial waste to SAF & diesel · research & design stage

Turning industrial waste into jet fuel and diesel.

Zuriwo is designing a plant that gasifies industrial waste into syngas, then uses Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis, a catalytic process that builds liquid fuel molecules from that gas. The same plant then upgrades the result into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel, each certified before use.

Why this, why now

A lot of industrial waste ends up landfilled or burned. And airlines can't buy enough SAF.

Much of it is hard to recycle. Gasification breaks it down into a clean gas instead, and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis rebuilds that gas into jet fuel and diesel.

<1%SAF's share of global jet fuel use, 2026
6%EU minimum SAF share from 2030
70%EU minimum SAF share from 2050
